As the crisis rocking some parts of Plateau State which has affected the academic activities at University of Jos, Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has ordered the immediate evacuation of Enugu State students to safety.
The decision of the Governor isn’t unconnected to the reported unabated killings of Students in University of Jos.
The directive of the Governor was made available to JOURNALIST101 by his Special Assistant on Students Affairs, Chidi Ilogebe, who revealed that “H.E Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has mandated me to ensure that all students from Enugu State studying in UNIJOS are evacuated from the institution and taken to safe havens.”
Hon. Ilogebe told our correspondent that line with this order, he has called for the verifiable data of all Students from Enugu state studying in UNIJOS.
“If you are studying in Unijos from Enugu state and you are stranded, kindly liaise with Comr. Ebenezer, the SUG PRO from Enugu and the Enugu State Students President in Unijos for capturing and onward evacuation”.
Ilogebe assured the students of the State Government’s committed efforts towards their welfare irrespective of where they’re studying.
