The caretaker committee Chairman of Enugu All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Ben Nwoye has assured the party faithfuls that the challenges facing the party will soon be a thing of the past because “We can’t allow invaders to drive the owners of this home.”
Dr. Nwoye who made the statement while speaking to some members of the party that stormed the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu to welcome him expressed confidence that the “foundation members” of the APC will continue to triumph over the scheming of the new entrant that wants to turn the part to “an arm of the PDP in Enugu State.
“To those who left the PDP and we welcomed them in APC and they held a meeting yesterday, without the founding fathers of APC in Enugu state, they can’t transform APC Enugu State to PDP Enugu State. Their badges are badges of ‘formers’, you have former this and former that. ”
Dr. Nwoye who attended the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) meeting as the authentic caretaker committee chairman in Enugu State maintained that “those who have made South-East secretariat, Enugu State secretariat will find out that Enugu State secretariat is at 126 Park Avenue, GRA Enugu.”
He described as “Nollywood show of shame” the action of some people at the South East Zonal Meeting held on Thursday “by does who doesn’t know the founders of the party, stressing that they will fail again.
“They have done that before, they have once upon a time invented an Okey Ogbodo and today we say, where’s Okey Ogbodo?
“They have invented another small… and they have written a small script for him to act and unfortunately, he couldn’t deliver yesterday (Thursday), he couldn’t find language because he’s phony, because he’s not the chairman of APC Enugu.
Speaking on the local government Congress of the party taking place today, the APC boss charged the party members to go to their various councils, mobilize and elect their leaders through a democratic process.
“I encourage each and everyone of you, go back to your local governments, use democratic process and don’t wrote results to elect your leaders.”
He charged them not to be intimidated and called on the youths to shun violence and don’t allow themselves to be used by anyone.
“Do not allow yourselves to be intimidated by aged leaders, their days are numbered. The youths, don’t allow yourselves to be used by expired politicians.”
Speaking further, Dr. Nwoye called on the representative of the South East at the CECPC, senator Ken Nnamani to tow the path of peace in the interest of the party and to save her from the crisis rocking all the states due to undemocratic practices.
“You can’t rejig the party by killing the party, you can’t destroy what others created, you were not a founding father but you (Ken Nnamani) must be a father to all, you can’t select who you are father to, you can’t be a divider-in-Chief, you must be uniter-in-Chief.
“We can’t dislodge PDP from Enugu State by shutting the door from the likes of Osita Okechukwu, Okechukwu Ezea, Sen. Ayogu Eze and our able Financer, imperial majesty, Emperor Baywood Ibe.
Finally, Dr. Nwoye dismissed the letter circulating as a “forged letter” being circulated by people that “are used to forgery and being crooked.”
