Identified bandits’ hideouts in Kaduna State have been destroyed by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

A logistic facility and camp used by the outlaws hiding at Kawara Forest in Igabi Local Government Area of the state were struck.

Scores of them died after an attack aircraft dispatched for reconnaissance mission exposed their location.

The ISR platform discovered a large gathering of men dressed in black clothes with rustled cattle around Kawara village.

A military source told PRNigeria that on sighting the air component, the bandits ran and hid in between cows.

After clustering at a water crossing point, they were struck in successive passes by the aircraft.

Those who tried to scamper for safety were neutralized, the officer revealed.

“A reverse trail back to their initial departure point showed a that logistics base struck went into flames.

“Sources at Kawara on Monday confirmed that at least 50 dead bodies of the bandits were counted; motorcycles and food items destroyed”, he said.
