A House of Representatives member, Jonathan Gaza, said he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) because of the developmental strides of Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa.
Gaza represents Karu, Keffi and Kokona Federal Constituency of Nasarawa.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Garuku, headquarters of Kokona Local Government Area (LGA), Gaza explained that he defected from the PDP having “carefully observed and studied the various developmental efforts of the Gov. Sule.
He said the governor was also willing to partner with citizens of the state and ready to carry them along, irrespective of their political affiliations.
The federal lawmaker said he was willing to team up with the governor to facilitate further the development of his constituency.
Gaza, a two-term member of the green chamber of the National Assembly, said he would be partnering with the governor to bring meaning development to his constituents.
“Based on the need to ensure the free flow of developmental activities that would better the lots of my constituents, my partnership with our governor would continue, especially when he has proved beyond doubts that he is a good partner-in-progress,“ he said.
On his developmental agenda, Gaza said the electricity projects he was undertaking for his constituents in Dari-Amba and other places would be completed and inaugurated to enhance the people’s socio-economic activities.
Similarly, he also assured his constituents that all the water and education projects he was undertaking in various communities would be completed.
While expressing his gratitude to his constituents for their support, he urged them to come out in their large numbers to vote APC candidates in the Oct. 6 local government elections.
