More groups have joined in the call for the former Attorney General of Delta State, Dr. Peter Adogbejire Mrakpor (SAN) throw his hat into the Delta State Governorship ring.
The group; ‘That Same God for Mrakpor’ said their principal is eminently qualified to occupy the Osadebe House come 2023.
The group made the call on Sunday, 26th September, during a courtesy visit to the Media Aide of the former AG of the state; Comr. Akpovoke Otiti at his residence in Asaba.
During the visit, Comrade Monday Omoshue, President of ‘that same God for Mrakpor’ said the youth need Mrakpor for Governor of Delta state come 2023 as he will surely give the youths the opportunity to take over the leadership in the state.
Omoshue maintained that the group had to make the call “after thorough research and the overwhelming goodwill Mrakpor enjoys.”
The youth leaders said Mrakpor had made remarkable achievements in the areas of judiciary, Human Capital development, youth and women inclusion in governance.
“Like many other young Nigerians wanting to change the narratives of political bandwagon and recycled politicians, we are looking up to him as the hope of the Delta youths
“We are discussing with our patrons and we already have the network it would take to propagate his message all over the Delta,” Omoshua said.
In his response, Otiti called on Deltans to continuously support the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa who’s doing his best to proffer solutions to the different challenges facing the state.
Reacting to the call of Dr. Mrakpor to run for governorship in 2023, Otiti said the discussions and events ahead of 2023 elections are in the hands of God to decide.
Otiti urged the group to encourage Delta youths to participate in the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise of their voters card .
