Wild jubilation has enveloped 126 Park Avenue, the state secretariat of Enugu All Progressives Congress, APC as Dr. Ben Nwoye-Led Caretaker Committee has retained access to their office.
JOURNALIST101 had reported that the party office was cordoned off by operatives of Nigeria Police Force stopping the proposed SEC meeting with stakeholders, organised by the State caretaker committee chairman, Dr Ben Nwoye.
JOURNALIST101 gathered that Ben Nwoye and his executives went to the Commissioner’s office for clarification.
A source privy to the meeting told our correspondent that the CP, Abubakar Lawal told Nwoye that his men were at their party’s secretariat to maintain law and order as they got a report that some people were gathering illegally at the venue.
After explanations by Dr. Nwoye, the CP ordered his men to stand down while providing security for the meeting which is underway at the time of filing in this report.
The jubilating party leaders from across the 260 wards in Enugu State erupted in jubilation on sighting their Chairman when he returned to the office to superintend over the meeting.
