Reno Omokri, former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has said that the current trial of Nnamdi Kanu by the Muhammadu Buhari led federal government of Nigeria is personal and might not be about the formers’ agitation for an independent country; Biafra.
The author who was making reference to one of the charges preferred against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB said the insults Kanu threw at the president might be his anger.
The Count two charge in the amended 7 charges reads:
“That you Nnamdi Kanu, male, adult, of Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia North Local Government Area ot Abia State, on or about the 28th April, 2015 in London, United Kingdom did broadcast on Radio Biafra monitored in Enugu, Enugu State and other parts of Nigeria within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, referred to Major General Muhammadu Buhari, GCON, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a paedophile, a terrorist, an idiot and an embodiment of evil, knowing same to be false and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 375 of the Criminal Code Act, Cap C. 77, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.”
Reno through his Twitter account accused the president of having a fragile ego which is easily bruised and this also led to the banning of Twitter by this Administration.
“It is now obvious that what is between General Buhari and Nnamdi Kanu is personal. Buhari has a very fragile ego, which is easily bruised.
“His grouse with Kanu is not Biafra. It is the insults Nnamdi threw at him. It is the same ego reaction that led to #TwitterBan
