Enugu based tailor identified simply as Uzoma who was kidnapped at Lokpanta, Umunneochi local government area of Abia State while returning from a business trip in Aba as been released by his abductors, suspected to be herders in the area.
A close source confirmed his release was made possible after the payment of N2 million ransom by the family to his abductors.
Uzoma who’s also member of the Coal City Keep Fit Club was said to be returning from a business trip to Aba when the commercial bus he boarded was way-layed.
The attack reportedly took place around 8pm on Thursday at the popular Lokpanta, Hausa settlement.
Sources said the attackers attempted to abduct more persons but found it difficult to open the door, thus, decided to make away with the passenger seating in the front seat of the bus (the tailor) as they were running out of time.
