Hon Emmanuel Emeka Amadi, the DG and founder of Grassroots Development Movement (GDM) has said that the organisation is poised to ensure that credible leaders are elected in the forthcoming general elections.
Hon. Amadi said the goal of the movement is to ensure that, there is a good leadership and human capital and infrastructural development at all spheres in Enugu States’ communities.
Speaking with JOURNALIST101 in Enugu, he said they’re “diligently mobilizing in the rural areas for the liberation of our people from political backwardness and mobilizing support for good candidates during the forthcoming general election in Nigeria.”
“In line with our vision, we want to create a vehicle that will give political and economic relevance to our people at the grassroots and provision of sustainable human capital development and the dividends of democracy to our people in the rural areas which will help discourage rural to Urban migrations.”
Speaking further, Amadi said GDM wish to “diligently be the mouthpiece of Enugu Communities for socio-political liberation and development,” and called on the masses to join them to ensure that people wake up from slumber and end apolitical life style and join the political community in our society because ‘politics is too important to be left in the hands of the politicians alone’, according to a popular saying.
He also stated that in the coming days, GDM will role out their ‘digital method of politics of modern trends’ through digital marketing and E. campaign at the National, State and LG levels.
