Suspected armed robbers in their numbers have reportedly attacked a serving National Youth Service Corp, NYSC on Saturday, 4th December, 2021 in Kaduna.
The Corp member who hails from Enugu state has been identified as Osinachi Anichukwu.
According to another Corper who spoke to Journalist101, Osinachi was attacked at Dambo, Kaduna South local government area on Saturday.
The Corp member who doesn’t want his name in print said the victim was stabbed twice on the neck, severally on the head, and his hand cut with a matchet. The attackers made away with his phone after the attack.
“Osinachi was on his way home after buying some items from a supermarket when he was attacked.
“His attackers left him with great body injuries on his neck, head and hand. When I saw him, he said he was stabbed twice on the neck, severally on his head and they also used matchet to cut his hand.
“He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he’s currently receiving treatment but he has lost too much blood,” the Corper said.
Journalist101 also gathered that there has been effort to reach officials of NYSC about the development but non of them have showed up at the hospital (name withheld) where the victim is being treated.
“We have tried contacting some of our officials in NYSC even our Local Government Inspector, LGI but no response from them yet,” another Corper who knows about the attack said.
