Surveyor Victor Nnam, the former commissioner for lands in Enugu State has been released from correctional facility after perfecting his bail condition.
Nnam was arraigned before Honourable Justice I. N. Buba of the Federal High Court, Enugu for forgery while practicing as a surveyor in the state.
His arraignment was as result of the petition by one Kingsley Eze to the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami who alleged that Nnam forged the document with which Obeagu community used in registering the layout with the ministry of lands.
He was however granted bail to the tune of two hundred million naira or two sureties who have landed properties in Enugu valued in like sum.
Nnam remained in prison following his failure to meet his bail condition. However, on Wednesday, 8th of December, he met one of the conditions given for his bail which is the provision of N200million.
He he was able to raise this sum is still not clear as at the time of this report but some of his close friends told our correspondent that he’s back with his family.
The case is adjourned to the 11th, 12th of January 2022 for hearing.
