…Recommends concept of campaign for Igbo Presidency
Ahead of the 2023 general election in Nigeria, the convener of National Prayer Movement for Actualisation of Igbo Presidency 2023 and Leader of Super Christian Fellowship Evangelist Theo Rays has told the people of the Southeast geopolitical zone that righteousness, knowledgable approach and sacrifice are invariably the key strategies to apply towards actualisation of an Igbo man as President of Nigeria via 2023 general election.
Speaking during a thanksgiving and end of the year service organised by Super Christian Fellowship in Onitsha, Rays also called on Nigerians at large to repent and embrace righteous services of good and behaviour as such is the catalyst to the myriad of challenges facing their country.
Dwelling on the topic titled “Righteousness exalts a Nation” he observed contentiously that unrighteous characters like wickedness, corruption, hatred, and non interest to make sacrifice for the good of others among the citizens coupled with lack of knowledge are the bane of Nigeria.
The Onitsha based preacher charged Nigerians to use the 2023 polls to set what he termed as “Agenda For A New Nigeria” using the instrumentalities of righteousness, knowledge and sacrifice for realisation of “A New Nigeria” billed to live up to the expectations of the world. He called on Ndigbo to embrace the Agenda for a New Nigeria as the concept of campaign for Actualisation of Igbo Presidency in 2023.
He expressed the hope that God will answer the prayer for Actualization of an Igbo man as the one to take over from the incumbent President Mohammadu Buhari in 2023 because it is well justified. According to him, “the situation speaks for itself that since the return of democracy in 1999 only the Southeast geopolitical zone is yet to take a turn at Aso Rock seat of power. The North, Southwest and Southsouth have taken their turns”
He described the quest for Igbo Presidency as a collective agenda of Ndigbo and called on the Igbo politicians to get ready to sacrifice their personal interest for overall interest of Ndigbo because according to him Presidency is only one seat and only one person can occupy it.
He charged Ohaneze under Professor George Obiozor and other relevant Igbo leaders such as elder statesmen, traditional rulers, Church leaders and market leaders to work out a situation where Ndigbo would field one aspirant in APC, one aspirant in PDP and one aspirant in third force under coalition of other political parties.
He added “what Ndigbo need now is to do through strategic home work to avoid politicians flooding the process and end up making Ndigbo to spoil their own show. We need a home work where politicians will be made to understand the need to pave the way for a more popular candidate to go for ithe battle
He also called on Nigerians to shun money politics and go for the candidate who has the ideas on how to address the teething challenges facing the country. According to him, “ideas rule the world and it is very important for us to place value on campaign ideas ahead of campaign money in 2023”
