Explosion has rocked the Holyghost City and Miracle Church Enugu leading to a fire outbreak that burnt down the Church.
The incident happened on Monday December 12, 2021 in the Idaw River surbub, Enugu.
General Overseer of the church Prophet Kenneth Onukachi who narrated how his church was rocked with explosion and fire outbreak recalled that the incident happened between 6pm and 8pm.
“It was a period the neighborhood were controlling the fire outbreak before the intervention of the officers of the Enugu state fire Service came to their rescue and stopped the inferno from gulping the entire church.
Narrating his ordeal, the General Overseer, Holighost City and Miracle Church, Prophet Kenneth Onukachi Soronnadi said
He said the congregation were having their evening service at the church, when suddenly they heard a thunderous sound; it was an explosion.
“The next thing smoke engulfed everywhere starting from the children’s section of the church, my office. The fire later extended to the main church building starting from the alter.”
Prophet Kenneth ruled out possibility of the inferno being caused by electricity, wrong connections arguing that there was no smell of burning electrical wire, before the explosion and fire outbreak.
He noted that there was nothing like petroleum, gas cylinder or anything that could have caused explosion in the entire church premises.
Listing some of the items destroyed outside his office and everything in the children’s section, he mentioned standing air-conditioners, ceiling and roof of the church from the alter, fans, music instruments etc.
