There was a disquiet in the camp of the anti zoning opposition elements in Enugu state led by the self-styled ‘powerful’ Abuja-based politician when the news broke out yesterday that the ex Commissioner for Lands, Dr Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam visited governor Ugwuanyi at the Government House Enugu.
The anti zoning opposition camp had attempted politicizing the resignation of Dr Nnam as the Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development. They almost pushed the ex Commissioner into a fight with the man that fed him and brought him into lime light.
But yesterday, the ex Commissioner whose resignation was made controversial by the camp
of the self-styled Abuja based politician who is desperate to remain in power at all cost went to the Government House with his wife, Mrs. Divine Nnam, his brothers, Uchechukwu Nnam, Mr. Michael Nnam, Chief Freedom Nnam, Chief Innocent Nnaji, his friends to include; Chukwuka Ugwu, Mezie Ashuke, Fabian Nyia amongst others to appeal for peace.
Unfortunately, the camp of the self-styled ‘powerful’ Abuja-based politician who became his hailers and prodded him to toe the path of dishonour after the visit to the governor was reported, rushed to the social media to allege that it was Governor Ugwuanyi who begged the ex Commissioner not to continue in his lies peddled upon his hurried exit from office.
I understand how disappointed the camp of the self-styled ‘powerful’ Abuja-based politician was after Dr Nnam suddenly made a volte face and visited governor Ugwuanyi with the entire members of his family and some of his friends.
Knowing that their camp is depleting daily and many retreating to join hands with the governor to give ndi Enugu state a worthy successor from Enugu East Senatorial Zone, the anti zoning opposition camp has taken to media to peddle falsehood on the peaceful resolve of Dr Nnam to toe the path of honour, swallow his pride and beg Gov Ugwuanyi for forgiveness.
If Ugwuanyi was the one begging as alleged by the camp of the anti zoning opposition led by our self-styled ‘powerful’ Abuja-based politician, Dr Nnam wouldn’t have gone to the Government House with his entire family members and friends.
Like Dr Nnam, all those being deceived to work against the interest of ndi Enugu and destroy the zoning arrangement in the state for selfish political gains will soon realize that power belongs to God and that indeed Enugu is in the hands of God.
