A former chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, has revealed that Former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in 2023 presidential race.
Jibrin, who recently visited the national leader of the All Progressives Congress said a lot of works is going on behind the scene to ensure he emerges the president of the country.
While appearing on ChannelsTv Flagship programme ‘Politics Today, on Monday, 3rd January, Jibrin who’s the chairman of Tinubu Support Group said the only thing remaining is for The jagaban to hold a former occasion to declare his interest because he’s 100 percent in the race.
He said Tinubu has all it takes to unite Nigeria and improve the economy because he’s a detribalised Nigerian and has the capacity to deliver on good governance.
Speaking on the chances of Tinubu to clinch the party’s ticket and winning the election, he maintained that “If Tinubu is given the party’s ticket, 90% of the race is completed,” because he has the capacity to win the election under the APC.
He dismissed insinuations that Tinubu’s health will affect his chances at the poll saying “anyone can fall sick and this isn’t a factor against him in any way.”
Jibrin who represented Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency in Kano state, went further to state that Tinubu is accepted across the country.
“Recently, over 150 Uramas converted in Kano to pray for Tinubu. These are real Uramas and they were told before they came that they were coming to pray for Tinubu.”
He expressed optimism that his principal will beat the likes of the Vice President, Osinbajo, Minsters of NDDC and Transportation to pick the party’s ticket if its zoned to the South.
