The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared bandit groups operating in any parts of the country as Terrorists.
In a statement contained in a Federal Goverment Gazette and released by the Federal Ministry of Information, the Federal Government proscribed the existence of every bandit group and restrained any person or group of persons from participating in activities of any of the groups.
The Official Gazette was signed by the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN and was released today, Wednesday 5th January, 2022.
This is coming after a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had on the 25th of November, 2021 declared bandits as terrorists.
