The Governor of Old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo has debunked the media reports that he has endorsed Chinyeaka Oha, one of the aspirants to occupy Enugu Lion Building come 2023.
The Elder statesman said the clarification became necessary after his private visit to the retired permanent secretary of federal ministry of power was used for political propaganda.
Speaking with newsmen at his country home; Amaechi Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area on Wednesday, Jim said: “I was at the residence of Chinyeaka Oha to see his new edifice and pray for him. I was never their for any political reason and I made it categorically clear that I won’t discus politics.”
He maintained that he doesn’t have the power to endorse anyone for the governorship position as such power lies only with the incumbent.
Senator Nwobodo regretted that his private visit was turned into what it’s not stressing that based on equity and fairness, Nkanu East Local Government should be supported to produce the next Governor of Enugu State because they’re the least developed in the state.
