…As CP Abubakar cautions applicants to be wary of job racketeers
The Enugu State Police Command has released the guideline, venue and dates for the screening of candidates in the state in furtherance to the ongoing 2021 Recruitment Exercise of Ten Thousand (10,000) Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.
ASP Daniel Ndukwe, Anipr, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, in a statement on Friday said the exercise is for applicants who are indigenes of the State and have successfully completed the online recruitment registration.
Ndukwe said that the physical and credential screening exercise of the applicants have been scheduled to hold from 1st to 7th February, 2022, at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess, Agbani Road, Enugu, by 7.am daily and on the basis of their Local Governments of origin in the following order:
a). Aninri, Awgu and Enugu East L.G.As on Tuesday 1st February, 2022,
b). Enugu North, Enugu South and Ezeagu L.G.As on Wednesday 2nd February, 2022,
c). Igbo-Etiti, Igbo-Eze North and Igbo-Eze South L.G.As on Thursday 3rd February, 2022,
d). Isi-Uzo, Nkanu East and Nkanu West L.G.As on Friday 4th February, 2022,
e). Nsukka, Oji-River and Udenu LGAs on Saturday 5th February, 2022,
f). Udi and Uzo-Uwani LGAs on Monday 7th February, 2022 and
g). The Mop-up Exercise for those not screened on 7th February, 2022.
“Consequently, the applicants are to check their application status on the recruitment portal via www.policerecruitment.gov.ng and print out their Application Profile Page. They are also expected to compulsorily adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols during the exercise and appear at the venue in clean white T-shirts and Shorts with the following mandatory basic requirements:
a. National Identity Number (NIN) slip,
b. Original and Duplicate Copies of their Credentials, including O’Level Result(s), Certificate of Origin and Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age,
c. Printout of Application Profile Page, and
d. Duly completed Guarantor’s form.
“They are to note that any applicant who fails to present the above-mentioned items (i-iv) will not be considered for the screening.
“To this end, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abubakar Lawal, fdc, while wishing the applicants well in the screening exercise, has cautioned them to be wary of recruitment racketeers, who may want to defraud them under the guise of helping them secure enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force, as the recruitment is absolutely free and without any pecuniary obligation.
“Meanwhile, the applicants have been enjoined to call 08100004507 in case of any complaint,” Ndukwe said.
