After successfully garnering over 1.44 billion streams in the last 12 months, CKay has set brand new record on global music and video streaming platform, YouTube.
The fresh talent edges acclaimed musicians like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Yemi Alade, and other notable African musicians, according to YouTube’s statistics for the last one year.
Other African artistes like Egyptian singers, Amr Diab has 936 million views, Mohamed Ramadan with 890 million streams, Hassan Shakosh earns 856 million, and Tamer Hosny secured 775 million, follow the Nigerian singer on the list.
The emo-afrobeats singer, whose latest song ‘Emiliana’ recently debuted on the Billboard top 200 chart at number 190, making it the first Afrobeats song to make the Billboard chart without an official video, has been on winning streaks.
CKay also scored a groundbreaking Platinum Certification in the United States of America two months after emerging the first Nigerian to earn a Platinum Certification in France.
