Renowned journalist and publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu has declared his interest to contest for the office of the president in the forth coming 2023 general election.
Momodu made this known in his home town, Ihevbe, Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State, where he was received by a large crowd of Ihevbe people.
He stated that he might not have been a governor, Senator or minister but he has sat with the high and mighty, noting that he remains the most qualified to take over from President Buhari.
In his words, “For long I have been interacting with presidents, ministers, governors because I know that one day, I will be president.
“All I want to be is president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Today is a day to say it finally before my people. Anybody who think he is more qualified than me should come out and say so,” he added.
Mr. Momodu was also received by the former Senator, representing Edo North Senatorial district, Senator Yisa Braimah.
Sen. Braimah, who is a chieftain of the People Democratic Party (PDP), described Momodu’s returning as a glorious entry. “This is a glorious entry. The whole of Ihievbe community has turned out en-masse to receive their illustrious son. A man who has achieved so much in the media”
