Three police officers attached to Ezillo Police station in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State have been reportedly shot and killed by Gunmen on Monday night in Ebonyi state.
Reports revealed that the officers were at a check point very close to the police station when the gun men attacked them in a bus which the officers might have mistaken for a commercial bus.
A source revealed that, “The remains of the three police (officers) have been deposited at a mortuary in Abakaliki after they were confirmed dead by doctors”.
Confirming the incident, the police spokesperson in Ebonyi State, Loveth Odah said she could not give details of the casualty until after a visit to the scene of the incident.
This is coming days after several police officers were killed by gun men in Enugu state, in two different attacks.
