The house of the Convener of Project Unity Nigeria; Hon. Godstime Chukwubuikem Samuel was allegedly bombed by yet to be identified arsonists in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
According to local sources, arsonists might have used either a petrol bomb or a dynamite to blow up the 3-bedroom apartment forcing it to go up in flames.
JOURNALIST101 gathered that the ugly incident happened at about 1:55am on Friday morning while the Mother and sister of Hon. Godstime were asleep inside the building.
Before the men of the Imo state fire service could arrive the scene of the incident in Obilubi-Mbieri in Owerri, 92% of the household properties were already ablaze.
Godstime; a former deputy chairman of Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state was in Abuja with his family when the incident happened.
When contacted, the youth leader said he’s saddened by the development in which his mum sustained various degrees of injuries on her legs.
He lamented that the action is unwarranted and believes the security agents will do their job and arrest those responsible for this heinous crime.
