Atleast seven Persons have been killed following an attack on four banks and a divisional police headquarters in Edo state by gunmen on Thursday afternoon.
Videos that surfaced online showed the gunmen in their numbers and in several vehicles as they attacked the banks with dynamites.
The affected banks include Zenith Bank, UBA, Union Bank, and First Bank, all in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area of the state.
The spokesman of the Edo State Police Command, SP. Bello Kontongs said the affected persons include two police officers and five civilians.
The two police officers killed in the attack are said to be a female constable and a sergeant that is from Auchi in Zenith bank.
