Abia State Chapter of. Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON has congratulated the newly elected Council chairmen of Enugu State in the just concluded elections.
The chairman of Abia ALGON and the Executive Chairman of Obingwa Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Ibe Nwoke applauded the the Enugu State Electoral Commission, ENSIEC “for the smooth and credible conduct of the polls.”
The ALGON Boss in a statement made available to the press charged the new chairmen to bring their expertise to the fore.
Speaking further, Hon. Nwoke also congratulated the National Publicity Secretary of ALGON, Hon. Solomon Onah on his re-election as Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area of the state, and reminded him that the trust bestowed on him by his people is a call to do more.
The Obingwa Council boss while applauding Governor Ugwuanyi for solidifying democracy in Enugu State through the regular conduct of local government elections in the state called on all the elected Chairmen to join hands with ALGON to bring grassroot development in a bid to complimenting the efforts of the PDP led government of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
