Youths of Rivers State under the umbrella of ‘All Rivers Youth’ (ARY) are calling on the former state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bro Felix Obuah to declare for 2023 gubernatorial election in the State.
The groups which has strong presence in the 23 local government areas of the state insisted that they earnestly need Obuah whom they nicknamed “the empowerment master” to contest for the governorship office in Rivers State.
Addressing the press after their statewide rally, the youth group also vowed to sue him if he fails to declare before end of April.
The coordinator of ARY, Comrade Njoku Damian Ebere, said Obuah is a youth friendly man with proven capacity and integrity to succeed the incumbent; Governor Nyesom Wike who had raised the bar in governance and delivered good, quality project to Rivers people.
“The Executives and members of All Rivers Youth in the 23 Local Government Area of Rivers State use this medium to congratulate the performing governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Governor Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike who has raised the standard of living of Rivers people and residents in Rivers State through his numerous manpower and infrastructural development.
“As a government that has performed excellently well, we equally need a man with proven capacity and integrity to succeed him come 2023.
“It is on this premise that we earnestly call on the youth friendly leader Hon. Felix Amaechi Obuah, the former chairman of Onelga, the former chairman of the people’s democratic party (PDP) Rivers State chapter, a philanthropist with a difference, a business mogul, a developer of men and women, an employer of labour and one of the talent uplifters in the world, the CEO of more than 48 companies with youths gainfully employed and established across the state, to join the race as a credible to successor of ‘Mr project’,” the statement reads in part.
They also said that Obuah; who’s also the chairman GO-ROUND FC is a “victorious chairman that never lost election while serving as the chairman of the PDP Rivers State Chapter.
“The emergence of ‘Mba anabara agu 1,’ will  will sustain on the life legacies of the current administration in the state because his influence cut across party line.
“We will file a lawsuit against yiu if you fail to declare nor break the heart of millions of Rivers people that awaits your coming as the next Governor.”
