Chris Azubogu, the member representing Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in Federal House of Representatives, has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
On September 30th 2021, Azubogu joined other 11 lawmakers that dumped their parties for the All Progressives Congress, APC In the build up to the Anambra governorship election.
Aggrieved Azubogu had decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC, after losing the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
In a post on his verified facebook page, he wrote: “It is now official as I returns to APGA in my ward, Umudim Ward 1, Nnewi.
“It was a party that took me to National Assembly in 2011. I thank the leadership of the party in my ward and the entire leadership of the party for their effort towards building this party.
It is not a day for talk, but a call for strong synergy State-Fed Govt intergovernmental relations that will drive ANAMBRA State development.”
