The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has hired another Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to join his legal team.

The new addition will join Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) who was hired in January by Kanu who’s currently being detained by the Department of State Services, DSS.

Ozekhome had taken over the defense of Kanu who’s standing trial for treasonable felony and terrorism by the Federal Government.

Announcing the new development in a tweet Monday evening, Aloy Ejimakor, the special counsel to Kanu said the new addition to the defense team is Chukwuma Machukwu Umeh (SAN)

“UPDATE: Just exited from a groundbreaking visitation with Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” Mr Ejiofor tweeted.

“It was groundbreaking because we covered many new grounds, including the addition of Chukwuma Machukwu Umeh (SAN) to the Legal Team. Onyendu sends his love & felicitation to all his true followers.”

He was mysteriously renditioned back to the country from Kenya last year after his house at Afaraukwu, Umuahia in Abia state was invaded by the Nigerian Army in 2017.
