The Nigeria Police Force are reportedly detaining its officers who are in support of the proposed March 26 industrial action by the men

This was made known in a post made by Nigerian activist, Prince Deji Adeyanju, on his official Facebook page.

Adeyanju revealed that he got a message from a friend who is a police officer at the Force headquarters Abuja saying that officers who made positive comments about the protest on social pages are being detained.

He wrote; “I just got this from a police friend of mine at The Force Headquarters : Sir, police are detaining police men who have made positive comments in support of the March 26 protest on all social media platforms”.

Adeyanju blamed the leadership of the force for not allowing Nigerians fight for a better standard of living for all men of the armed force.

“Shame on the leadership of the police for refusing to allow patriots fight for better pay and treatment for our officers. It is the police force that will benefit if our officers are treated properly,” he added.

News have been making the round that junior officer of the police force are planning to embark on a strike on the 26th of March, 2022, over poor wages.

Few days, the force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement dismissed the report that officers were planning to embark on strike stressing that police officers all over the country remained committed to securing Nigeria’s spaces.
