Officers of the Nigeria Police Force have blocked all entrances leading to the Cross River State House of Assembly.
This is coming after a Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday, l sacked 18 state lawmakers and two federal law makers, for crossing from the PDP to the APC on May 20, 2021.
An Eye witness reported the security operatives were already at the entrances as early as 7am restricting movement in and out of the complex.
Staffs of the assembly were also said to have asked to go back as they were told not to loiter around the premises.
Motorists lamented the difficulty in trying to pass through the crowd covering the road coupled with Police vehicles that covered a part of the road.
Recall that Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court tin Abuja, sacked 18 lawmakers from the State and two in the House of Representatives for crossing from the PDP to the APC.
The APC said they have applied for a stay of execution and at the same time, headed to the appeal court.
