Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state has challenged his Rivers state counterpart, Nyesom Wike that his geopolitical zone can’t win the presidential election for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Tambuwal went ahead to ask the party to choose between zoning and winning the 2023 presidential election.
According to The Nation,
Tambuwal made this known in Abuja on Tuesday while speaking in a meeting with former principal officers of the National Assembly.
The meeting is part of his consultative engagements to solicit for support for his aspiration in the 2023 presidential election.
The governor further said that the party cannot win the presidential election if it zones its ticket to the Southsouth.
This is coming after Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, asked the PDP to zone its presidential ticket to the Southsouth region.
