A Court of Appeal sitting in Enugu has on Friday dismissed a suit filed by a candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ebonyi State, in the 2019 Governorship election, Senator Sonni Ogbuoji and his Deputy, Chief Justin Ogbodo Mbam.
Senator Ogbuoji had approached the court to sack Governor David Nweze Umahi and his Deputy, Dr Kelechi Igwe, over their defection from PDP to APC.
Presiding Judge, Justice A.O Belgore, trashed the suit stating that, it is inconsistent with the constitution and extant of the country.
Recall that an Ebonyi State High Court had in February struck out the same suit and awarded N500, 000 as damages against the plaintiff.
