The governor of Enugu State, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has stated his position on how the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will emerge in the 2023 general elections.
Governor Ugwuanyi made his position known on Tuesday when Northern presidential aspirants led by the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki visited him.
The northern PDP presidential aspirants that are championing for consensus went to seek the support of the Enugu Governor for the party’s presidential candidate to emerge via that arrangement.
In his very short speech, the Enugu helmsman said he doesn’t have any problem with consensus but revealed how he wants such candidate to emerge.
According to Ugwuanyi: “I don’t have any problem with consensus candidate but it must be based on justice, equity and fairness.”
