The Nigerian Police has opened up on why they arrested Mr. Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of gospel artiste, Osinachi.
Osinachi was first reported to have died of throat cancer but few hours later, contrary reports emerged from family members and close associates that she died following domestic violence from try husband.
One of the Osinachi’s sister had revealed that the husband, Mr. Peter Nwachukwu, had hit her with his leg on the chest which led to the death of the singer as a result of a cluster of blood in the chest from the kicking she got from her Husband.
Mr. Peter Nwachukwu was apprehended by operatives from the Lugbe Division and investigation is said to have commenced into singer’s death.
Police arrested Mr. Nwachukwu on a case of suspected homicide, following a report to the police by the brother of the deceased.
Confirming the arrest, DSP Josephine Adeh, Public Relations Officer, FCT Command said: “He is now in our custody. The younger brother of the deceased reported the matter and we have commenced investigation.”
