The Anambra State Police command has reacted to the attack on the home town of Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State by some Gun men.
Reacting to the attack, the state police spokesperson, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said the home of Soludo was not attacked by the gunmen.
He said only a police observation point along the express was attacked and three of the police officers sustained gun injuries.
The police spokesman did not state if an officer was killed during the attack as earlier reported.
He said “Soludo’s house was not attacked. To set the records straight, Police observation point along Ekwulobia expressway came under attack late hours of yesterday 14/4/2022.
“The Mobile personnel posted at the point, gallantry repel the attack but unfortunately three of them sustained gun shot injury during the gun battle with the hoodlums.
“Following the quick deployment of operatives in the area by the command, calm has since returned in the area”.
DSP Tochukwu added that operation is still ongoing and more details shall be communicated.
