The 260 Ward Councillors from the entire political wards spread across the 17 local government areas of Enugu State are set to meet in Enugu for a one-day Legislative Summit.
In an invitation signed by Hon. Nnamdi Odo, the Coordinating Leader of the Enugu State Body of 260 Ward Councillors, the summit will hold at the ALGON Headquarters on the 29th Of April 2022 by 10am.
Odo said: “The success of the Summit will go a long way in shaping how serious we will be taken before, during and after the elections. For the first time, our Councillors will be very strategic in their engagement what we are doing now is Strategic.
“In this summit, we will unite and speak with one voice. We will demand better treatment for Councilors and to be included in mobilization for the coming elections.”
Odo urged every Councilor “to take this our first assignment serious as attendance will be taken and those who are absent won’t be threated with kids glove.
The summit, Odo said “will be a prelude to our meeting with the Governor where sensitive issues concerning our welfare will be discussed.”
The special guests at the summit are the ALGON chairman and all Executive Chairmen of Council areas.
