In the past decade and still counting, Hon. Jude Ifeanyi Okonkwo, the current Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Uzo Uwani local government Area of Enugu State, has at different occasions, irrespective of political developments, contributed immeasurably and very convincingly in the growth, development and above all, over-all stability of polity in the LGA.
Hon. Jude who is generally referred to as “EGBUDEGBU’ by his teaming admirers and followers, following his sterling record of experience in the game of politics and his pivotal role of calming the stormy political tempo of Uzo Uwani LGA whenever the need arises, can best be described as ‘one of the most exciting and divinely capacitated leaders in the current local government party politics in Enugu state.
A well travelled personality, the current PDP Chairman of Uzo Uwani Local Government Area, is the Secretary, Forum of LG Party Chairmen in Enugu State. A former two times Supervisor for works in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area, he is a teacher, Lecturer and a disciplinarian of the highest repute. The PDP Chairman, who has undeniably cut his teeth and paid his dues in the political space of his Immediate environment, Uzo-Uwani LGA, is equally a political Analyst and community leader who holds B.Sc in Political Science, M.Sc in Public Administration and Professional Diploma in Education.
His knowledge of the game, dedication to his current office as party chairman and passion to take his selfless efforts to the pinnacle of his dreams, where his impact would be felt by the larger populace and the great people of Uzo Uwani LGA, has remained his cardinal objective for vying to represent his constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly.
There is no doubt, whatsoever that Uzo Uwani LGA, Prior to Hon. Chukwudi Celestine NNadozie’s emergence had been poorly and inadequately organized for efficient delivery of democratic dividends in the LGA as well as robust political participation of Sons and Daughters of our dear Council in the scheme of things at the State level.
