Unknown Gunmen has on Tuesday attacked the country home of the Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Steve Orogwu, killing his his security guard and three of his relatives.
The hoodlums who stormed the house of the council chairman on Tuesday evening and met his absence, killed the four persons and burnt down his house.
Reports says the council chairman was in Abakaliki town when the unknown gunmen stormed his house and caused the havoc.
Confirming the incident to TheNation, Orogwu said in an emotional voice: “They attacked my house at night and killed my elder brother and two of his son’s and our security guard”.
The Council boss also confirmed the razing of his family’s house by the gunmen.
As at press time, heavy police presence and that of other security agents has helped to maintain normalcy in the area.
