Entire Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State has been thrown into wide jubilation as the member representing Ezeagu Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chima Obieze has been declared winner of the primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Obieze who is currently representing the constituency in the Assembly was declared winner with 39 votes out of the 61 votes at the election held at Ezeagu local government headquarters in Aguobu Owa.

The the first runner-up, Chibueze Adinde garnered 8 votes, Ebube Nebo and Vincent Chiude Anike scored 3 votes respectively.

Offiah Kingsley, Sunday Ozoigbo and Ozonwamma Remigius all scored 1 votes respectively while 5 votes were voided.

This means that Obieze will fly party’s flag for the state Assembly elections in 2023.

In another development, the member representing Enugu North Constituency, Hon. Ibenaku Onoh emerged the winner of the primary election conducted at Enugu North secretariat.

Hon. Onoh secured 29 out of the 41 delegates votes.

The two runners-up, Hon. Chinolum Edeh and Ugwoke garnered 4 votes each. Dubem Eze got 2 votes while Ugwu Kingsley and Chidibere Anibueze got zero votes. One of the votes was invalid.
