A former minister of Information, and Nasarawa state Governorship Aspirant, Labaran Maku has given up on his Governorship ambition.
Maku made the announcement few minutes after voting has commenced in Nasarawa Local government of Nasarawa state.
According to the former Minister, his decision to withdraw from the race was following a wide consultations with friends and associates.
“I decided to withdraw from the contest after due consultations with my family, political associates and other stakeholders”.
Maku said his reason for withdrawing from the race was best known to him and would be disclosed soon.
“My opinion, the process of the primary election is ongoing” the former minister said
