Frontline presidential aspirant, Peter Obi has confirmed his exit from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Obi, former Governor of Anambra State was rooting for the ticket of the PDP to contest for the presidential election in 2023.
In a letter written to his ward Chairman, Obi thanked the leadership of the party for the opportunity and informed them that he has withdrawn from the presidential primaries of the PDP.
He said the challenges of the country is deep seated and requires some level of sacrifices. And his commitment to rescuing Nigeria is sacrosanct even if it will be achieved through another route.
The letter which was casting doubts in the mind of many persons has been laid to rest as Obi has confirmed his exit
“I have resigned my membership in the Peoples Democratic Party,” Obi said via his verified twitter account.
