Prof Uche Ikonne has emerged the winner of the primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Abia State.
Prof Ikonne defeated 8 other aspirants to emerge the candidate of the PDP in the election held in Umuahia stadium.
Announcing the results, the PDP Chairman of the Electoral committee, Ayo Fayose said that the academician polled 468 votes while the first runner-up Lucky Igbokwe garnered 45 votes.
