A lagos based Enugu businessman, Uche Nnaji (Nwakaibie) has won the gubernatorial ticket of the All progressive congress in Enugu state.
Uche Nnaji who hails from Akpugo, Nkanu West Local Government area of Enugu state polled 1070 votes to emerge the APC Candidate.
He was a sole aspirant for the Gubernatorial primary Election of the APC.
Five elected state delegates from each of the 260 wards in the state participated in the primaries.
Nnaji was a one-time senatorial aspirant in Enugu East Senatorial Zone. He Won the senatorial ticket of the AD in 1999 but later stepped down for former governor of old Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo.
He’s the brother of Nnoli Nnaji, the member representing Nkanu East and West Federal Constituency who’s also the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the same office in the 2023 general elections.
