Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Awareness Tour, BCAT is set to unveil the myriad of opportunities that Blockchain technology presents other than trading of Cryptocurrencies.
Addressing journalists on Friday, BCAT Team Leader and CEO of CryptoTvplus, Mr. Tony Emeka, said their goal is to tell young persons that there are more opportunities online than going into crime and Blockchain technology is there to make a whole lot of difference, provide opportunities and transform lives.
Mr. Tony said they’re in the South East for a tour in partnership with Binance to “tell young persons that the space isn’t only for selling and buying crypto as there are a lot of things one can benefit on the Block Chain Technology.
“The essence of BCAT is to create people that can make money from the space without trading. Blockchain technology isn’t about crypto and a lot of persons have been blinded by this belief.
“Trading is one out of the many opportunities and BCAT is here to tell the people of the South East region that you can be a developer, you can be a content creator and you can be a moderator or even an ambassador and earn from Blockchain.
“We’re in the South East to tell them that there are a lot of things you can do and earn legitimate money.”
Also speaking at the briefing, Chimezie Chuta, founder of BNUG said Blockchain is the biggest revolution in the last 20 years and it has the potential to do better in Nigeria than anywhere in the world as it offers Transparency, Inimitability and Security.
“Blockchain Technology represents one of the biggest disruptive technology that the world has ever seen in the last 20 years because it brings solutions that can help most of the problems that we have in Nigeria and across Africa.
“Blockchain technology will do mostly well in Africa and Nigeria than anywhere in the world because we don’t have infrastructures that we can use to rebuild our system to make them standard and workable. Blockchain technology brings three key ingredients; Transparency, Inimitability and Security.”
Chuma also revealed that at the training taking place today at Amadeo event center, the participants will be exposed to how they can use this Blockchain technology to recreate goods and services in the industry where we find ourselves adding that the efforts made by the government transform our society but they’re incapacitated in tackling most of the challenges and this is where Blockchain technology comes in because it has the capacity to reduce work time.
“We expect that the participants that will be coming tomorrow (today) will learn new solutions to the problems in the society, how they can build new companies and understand how they can get new opportunities and earn good wages.”
