Hon. Eya Oliver Uchenna, a former Councillor in Enugu State that represented Umuozzi Ward 3, in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area between 2007 to 2011, has Donated the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (#500, 000) to Support the presidential campaign of Mr. Peter Obi.
In a telephone chat with JOURNALIST101, Hon Eya who contested for Enugu State House of Assembly under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said he made the donation when the Enugu chapter of Peter Obi Support Group visited him in Enugu on Friday.
According to him, the presidential ambition of the former Anambra Governor is a project that should be beyond party line.
“Peter Obi is a man any reasonable youth should see as the next president of Nigeria. This isn’t about party affiliation because I’m a core member of the PDP but at this point, we need someone that can rescue the country and not someone that will protect my interest as a member of his party.”
“Beyond party or political interest, Peter Obi is the man Nigeria Needs now and I urge all the youths to join in the campaign and let us rescue the country.
Hon. Eya challenged the youths to replicate what they did during EndSARS to ensure that Obi becomes the next president of Nigeria.
“Its time for the youths to come together and use the same force we used during the EndSARS to rescue Nigeria. That force should be directed towards the person that can do the job and not necessarily about what will favour us so we can save our future generation.
