The ambition of the Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial district, Michael Ama Nnachi to return to the Red Chamber has hit the rock following his loss at the primary election held on Saturday.
The incumbent Senator was defeated by the Member representing Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State in the House of Representatives, Honourable Linus Abaa Okorie.
Hon Okorie polled 132 votes to defeat the incumbent, Sen Nnachi who garnered 35 votes.
The total number of accredited voters for the election were 169 but 167 valid votes were cast because 2 votes were invalid.
