Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have secretly stormed the venue of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election.
Reports says the officials of the anti-graft agency are secretly watching to monitor votes buying and delegates’ inducement by aspirants.
A report by ThePunch reveals that a reliable source who spoke with its correspondent on the condition of anonymity, said, “We’re currently at the APC convention ground on a covert operation. We’re monitoring activities, and watching keenly for incidents of delegates inducement, vote-buying, and other electoral or financial fraud activities that might take place”.
According to ThePunch, agents of the commission will catching potential perpetrators of vote buying unawares as they go about the convention ground.
This is coming few days after the commission also stormed the venue of the primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium in Abuja.
