Jigawa state Governor, Abubakar Badaru has withdrawn formally from the race and announced his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
After him, the Deputy leader of the Senate, Senator Ajayi Boroffice also stepped down for Tinubu.
This brings to 6, the number of aspirants that have thrown their weight behind the former Lagos Governor.
Earlier, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun and former speaker of the House of Representatives stepped down for Tinubu
Voting for the primaries is yet commence.
