All Progressives Congress, APC, delegates from the southeast and South-south geo-political zones has rejected the plot by Northern governors to zone the presidential ticket to the south-west region of the country.
This was made known by some of the delegates who spoke to the press at the venue of the APC primaries in Abuja.
The delegates accused the Northern governors of plotting to marginalize the South-East and South-south regions.
They also accused the delegates of denying competent individuals like Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, the chance to become the APC flagbearer.
According to the delegates, the APC primary election is to be contested by all qualified aspirants and voted on by delegates as representatives of party members in their respective states.
The delegates however noted that Bello was a better candidate for being bold enough to show interest in leading the country.
