Pope Francis has condemned the attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo LGA of Ondo state by terrorists on 5th of June 2022.
Over 50 worshippers were killed during the church service by the terrorists that invaded the church detonating IEDS and shooting sporadically into the church.
The Pope in a statement on Monday said the action is unspeakable and called for prayer for the affected worshippers and the conversion of the perpetrators of the act.
“I was deeply saddened to learn of the horrific attack at Saint Francis church in Owo in #Nigeria.
“#PrayTogether for all those affected by this act of unspeakable violence and for the conversion of those blinded by hatred and violence,” he tweeted.
