Event Practitioners under the auspices of Event Organisers and Practitioners Association of Nigeria (South South/South East) EOPANSE; the umbrella body of all Event-related practitioners such as: Event Managers, Decorators, Chefs and Patissiers, Event Centre Owners, Entertainers and Artists, Event Security, Photographers and Videographers, Concert Producers and Show Production Teams, Music and Sound Engineers, Printers and so many others, plying their trades in the South South And South East States will be converging in Enugu for their annual conference.
Addressing newsmen on Sunday, the National President of EOPANSE, Ogbumuo Chukwuebuka said the conference which is their 3rd will be from 14th to 16th June, 2022 at Amadeo event centre, Enugu.
Mr. Ogbumuo said the theme of the conference; “Going Beyond Borders- Embracing Breakthrough Innovations and Creativity,” is in accordance with the core objectives of the association which includes: encouraging network opportunities, creating job opportunities, motivating members, creating professional development access to resources among members and from cooperate organisations, creating advert and publicity for members, etc.
He added that the organisation which was birthed in the city of Awka, Anambra State in 2020, is an association of growth minded individuals and, they have been doing a whole lot to bring order in the practice with a lot of success stories and offering an enabling platforms for their members to thrive.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the local Organising committee chairman, Dr. Kachi Ugwa said the conference will kick of on the 14th with a street carnival from 12pm to 4pm and a welcome Hawaiin-Themed cocktail party by 6pm.
On the 15th of June, they will have a flagoff ceremony, mental shifts engagement, panel sessions and state presentations.
And on the 16th, there will be a breakout/skill acquisition sessions and Gala night dinner.
Dr. Ugwa revealed that some of the speakers at the conference include: Rev. Surv. Ugo Chime, GMD Copen group; Mrs. Uche Pedro, CEO of Bellanaija; Mrs. Ayiri Oladunmoye, convener ATINUDA/CEO Oaken Events, Lagos; Mrs. Dupe Olusola, MD/CEO Transcorp Hotels plc.
Others are: Mr. Onye Ubanatu, Event producer Lagos; Mr. Francis Ukah, HR Constant and Mrs. Chioma Johnson, CEO Duree Event, USA.
He added that through the event, “We are creating an avenue to beam the search light on the south east and south south parts of Nigeria to enhance our creativity and showcase our potentials to the world.”
Similarly, the LOC secretary, Ogo Okanya
assured that no member will remain the same after attending the conference as their focus will be sharpened and it will also provide an opportunity for support for members which includes provision of insurance for members (which is on the pipeline)
She added that body is creating an opportunity for Small and Medium Enterprises to improve their services and make more money both for themselves and their environment.
Over 300 Members of the organisation are expected to be at the event while non members who wish to participate (but falls into the categories mentioned above) will pay a conference fee of N25,000.
